Not quite there - I find MS Office 2003 S&T edition meets most of my needs - but I miss Access, even though I only used it occasionally. Contrary to other people s experience, I can spell-check other languages - eg set Microsoft Office Language Settings to enable French, and then in Word under Tools/Language/Set Language tick detect language automatically. This should find French text and spell-check it fine, even in mixed English/French documents.

Good product but others do 99% the same for FREE - Microsoft Office is excellent software, but why to pay when you can get on the net a free office tool who does 99% the same of the Microsoft product? [...], or www.abisource.com I understand for some corporations Microsoft office is needed for legal reasons. Another excellent software is the last Wordperfect X3. You can have Tesco software as well very cheap if you feel you need to pay. All of them do very similar things including PDF (postcript is better), direct connection to you email because we cannot attach files anymore, solver functions and so on. I am trying to say I believe it is overpriced, you can get nearly the same for free.

Almost Perfect - Office runs perfectly on my system and I have no complaints, it is quick efficient, and is full of useful features. This is probably my most used software and is excellent. My sole problem is using Office in different languages, it can be a real pain when your trying to type something up in a different language and it keeps correcting you when you are actually right in the first place.

really a big-up for Amazon - I needed this Super Quick, but as I live in the middle of nowhere in remote Scotland I doubted the ability of Amazon to deliver the next day.How wrong...it arrived before 12.Despite the fact it will no work on my ancient machine...it works perfectly on my daddy s and took less than 10 minutes to be up and running.Thank you Amazon...again.

Language Students - I find that the multiple language support on MSOffice is rather poor as I can find no way to get it to spellcheck in anything other than English. So, a few weeks ago I downloded Openoffice.org, which is free, and tried that. Changing the language on OO actually works, unlike on MS Office, and even auto-corrected some words. I have, however, only tried this with italian. Anyway, if you require multiple language support then I would suggest that you download Openoffice first and see if that supports the required language before paying for MS.
